Watertown - Samaritan Medical Center will be unveiling its new, expanded neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) on Tuesday afternoon.
The NICU, which is approximately two times the size of the former unit, is the most recent unit completed in Samaritan's ongoing renovation. The new unit offers many amenities to the families of newborns requiring specialized care, including private rooms for family time and bonding.
The new unit was made possible through a one million dollar donation by Kinney Drugs during SMC's capital campaign.
