Shooting incident in Adams
Update 5/27: The Watertown Times identifies the victim as 36 year old State Trooper Teresa Simpson, who is the victim of an apparent suicide. Ms. Simpson lived alone at the address and is survived by two siblings who are also members of the State Police and her parents, including Robert Simpson, of Jefferson County Fire and Emergency Services.
Police and emergency personnel are on the scene of a reported shooting incident in the Village of Adams.
Emergency personnel were called to the home on Wright Street Road around 5 pm for a report of a person injured by a shooting. No further details are available at this time.
Neighbors at the scene told NewsWatch50 the home is the residence of a law enforcement member.
