Fresh off his upset win on Tuesday, Darrel Aubertine was sworn into office as the new State Senator from the North Country.
The ceremony took place early Wednesday afternoon at the State Capitol.
Senator Aubertine took the oath of office administered by 3rd Judicial District Judge John Egan.
Fellow members of the Senate Democratic Conference looked on, including Senate Democratic Leader Malcolm Smith.
Also present were Aubertine's wife, Margaret and his Chief of Staff, Ed Gaffney.
