A burglary suspect broke into a self-storage facility in Watertown and may be connected to a number of similar break-ins across the area, according to State Police.
Christopher R. Gadway, 31, no address listed, is charged with burglary and more charges are possible, investigators said.
Police say Gadway cut the lock on a storage unit at the Store House Self Storage at 19079 State Route 11 in Watertown in May, stealing a Maytag washer and dryer.
A large amount of stolen property has been recovered during the investigation and is believed to have been stolen from other storage units in the area and also from vehicles in parking areas along Lake Ontario in Southern Jefferson County.
Police are looking to identify the owners of the stolen property.
Anyone with storage units at Store House Self Storage, storage units near Sackets Harbor and outer Coffeen Street in Watertown is asked to check on their property inside the unit.
If anyone finds that they have property missing, they should call Watertown State Police at 315-782-3691 or the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department Detectives Division at 315-786-2675.
