Watertown --  The area was hit with strong winds last night, but by early this morning, the winds had died down. Leaving behind downed trees and debris. 

There was a report of damage along the 100 block of Winslow St. in Watertown where a tree fell, hitting a vehicle. A section of Rt. 81 just south of the city was closed for a period of time due to downed power lines. There are scattered outages in the area according to the National Grid. About 300 customers were reported without power in Jefferson County as of 5 am. That includes the Towns of Worth, Theresa, Pamelia, Alexandria and Orleans. About 399 customers are without power in Lewis County, mostly in the Town of Osceola. In St. Lawrence County, National Grid reports just 28 people without power.
