A Rochester-area teen was seriously hurt in an ATV accident in the St. Lawrence County town of Depeyster on Monday.
State Police say the 14 year old, whose name they didn't release, is at Fletcher-Allen Hospital in Burlington in stable condition.
The teen was going at high speed when the machine went out of control on a curve along the West Lake Road early Monday afternoon, troopers said. The 2008 Yamaha hit a utility junction box mounted on a post, went airborne and hit a barn and a brick abutment, ejecting the teen.
The victim was taken first to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg before being flown to Burlington with head and wrist injuries.
