(WSYR) As low pressure tracks across the region today, hot and humid air will attempt to return and in doing so, showers and thunderstorms will linger for a while.
Thereafter, we will wait to see where the sun gets as low pressure tracks across the area this afternoon. As it does so, it will drag a cold front through New York State, resulting in another round of showers and thunderstorms.
On Friday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible, but much less widespread, with perhaps a somewhat higher threat for showers and thunderstorms Saturday as a trough of low pressure swings through the region. Right now, Sunday looks warm and dry as the trough pulls out and high pressure builds in from the west.
