(WSYR-TV) - Time Warner Cable will soon begin charging its customers a monthly Internet modem rental fee.
Beginning on November 1, Time Warner subscribers can expect to see an Internet modem lease fee of $3.95 per month.
Customers will have a choice to either purchase their own cable modem or to continue to lease the modem provided by Time Warner for the additional fee.
Customers who choose to purchase their own modem should check a list of approved modems for their specific tier of Internet service, the company said. That list can be found by

According to CNY Time Warner Communications Manager Stephanie Salanger, the company’s main goal is to give customers the best experience possible and charging the fee will allow them to continually service the equipment and enhance their Internet services.
