Northern New York -- Low pressure to our north has swept a cold front eastward across the area this afternoon. For most of us it was a windy Saturday morning, with the passage of the cold front marked by a brief period of heavier rain and gusty winds.
Meanwhile, east of our area, tornadoes touched down near Coney Island, New York City Saturday morning. A tornado watch remains in effect for the area until 10pm
The front moved in faster, limiting the severe weather potential. This will mean a cool and breezy afternoon for us, with showers. Temperatures will remain in the 60s.
