Vehicle colides with amish buggy, infant being treated for serious injuries

Harrisburg (WWTI) -- An Amish buggy was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning on Route 12 in the Town of Harrisburg.

Police say the buggy was carrying a female driver and an infant. The infant suffered possible head and internal injuries and was transported to Lewis County General Hospital then air lifted to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

The female driver of the buggy suffered a minor leg injury.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured. The accident is still under investigation and the Lewis County Sheriff's Office says charges are pending.
