A fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred over the weekend has resulted in a
Watertown man charged with Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd Degree and DWI.
State Police in Watertown have investigated a pick up truck/motor vehicle accident that occurred on Hadcock Road in Watertown.
Richard S. Sample, 52, of 21019 Hadcock Road was struck and killed by Kristian M. Loftus, 35, 0f 20740 Hadcock Road, at approximately 7:50 p.m. on July 15th, when Loftus’s truck crossed into the southbound lane and hit Sample while he was operating his motorcycle.
Sample died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
Loftus is charged with one count of Vehicluar Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, one count of Driving While Intoxicated and one count of Failure to Keep Right
Loftus was arraigned in the Town of Watertown Court where bail was set at $2,500 and posted.
