Watertown -- A Watertown man has been arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance in city court Thursday.
Watertown Police say 33 year old Anthony Ramirez engaged in disorderly, contemptuous, and insolent behavior during a city court proceeding that that caused the proceeding to stop. Ramirez also allegedly pushed away court officers as they tried to arrest him, fleeing the court. He was taken into custody along the 100 block of Arsenal St. and is charged with second degree criminal contempt, resisting arrest, and second degree harassment.
Ramirez was arraigned and ordered held in the county jail on $500 bail. State Police also have an active warrant for his arrest.
