William Pitoniak pleads guilty to robbing the Key Bank on Washington St.
There's been a guilty plea by a Watertown man accused of robbing a Key Bank in the city earlier this year. Thirty eight year old William Pitoniak admitted in federal court Monday to robbing the branch at 1308 Washington St. back on June 16. Pitoniak fled the bank after the robbery, but was apprehended by city police after a short chase. Sentencing in the case is planned for April 6. Pitoniak faces 4 years in prison. He will also be required to pay restitution to the bank.
