The female victim of an aggressive driver chased down the offender and confronted him, according to State Police.
That led to the arrest of 18 year old Justin R. Butler of Rensselaer Falls for unlicensed operation and marijuana possession.
Troopers say a woman on her way home from work about 1 a.m. was passed by a speeding vehicle on Route 68 near Ogdensburg.
The speeder then tried to hit her vehicle by backing up unsafely, troopers said.
The woman, not identified, followed the other vehicle into a service station parking lot, confronted Butler and called police.
Butler's passenger, 18 year old Richard P. Teriele of Ogdensburg was also ticketed for marijuana possession.
