Watertown (WTNY) -- The woman who is accusing Jefferson County Undersheriff Andrew Neff of sexual harassment has pleaded guilty to several charges.
Forty two year old Michelle Bowens of Adams Center pleaded guilty Friday to charges of forgery, criminal possession of stolen property in the second and forth degrees. She admitted to a variety of crimes including trying to forge information in order to get refunds from a restaurant as well as possessing a stolen credit card. She now faces up to three years in prison when sentenced.
Last fall, Bowens went public with her allegations against Neff, claiming he had sent her sexually charged text messages. The undersheriff is currently under investigation. Recent reports stated that Neff would be retiring from the department.
