A worker at a milk hauling business in Southern Jefferson County was severely injured in a tire explosion Tuesday morning.
It happened about mid-morning in a maintenance shop at M&T Transport in Mannsville.
Others within hearing distance of the shop heard a loud explosion. The victim was found unresponsive.
A helicopter was dispatched but the victim's injuries were judged too serious for flight and he was taken by South Jeff ambulance to a Syracuse hospital.
