Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Alabama earned its way into the BCS title game this year. AJ McCarron's go-ahead 45-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper with 3:15 remaining lifted No. 2 Alabama to a 32-28 victory over No. 3 Georgia in a back-and-forth SEC Championship Game thriller. The Crimson Tide, who are looking for their second straight national title and third in four years, will play No. 1 and undefeated Notre Dame in the BCS title game on Jan. 7, 2013. Alabama shut out LSU, 21-0, in last season's BCS Championship tilt, despite not playing for the SEC crown after finishing second in the SEC West. Crimson Tide defensive back Dee Milliner appeared to seal the win following his diving attempt for a potential game-clinching interception, but the play was overturned following a review. With 45 seconds on the clock and the ball at Georgia's own 28-yard line, Aaron Murray hit Arthur Lynch for a 15-yard gain and completed a 23-yard pass to Tavarres King before firing another strike to Lynch, this one for 26 yards down to the Alabama 8-yard line as the time continued to wind down. Georgia had no timeouts at its disposal. The Bulldogs elected to not spike the ball and Murray snapped it with nine ticks to play. It appeared that Murray attempted to lob a pass for Malcolm Mitchell at the back-right corner of the end zone, but the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage and landed into the arms of Chris Conley in the right flat. He fell down at the 5-yard line and time expired. Eddie Lacy carried the ball 20 times for 181 yards and two scores, while T.J. Yeldon added 153 yards and a touchdown on 25 rushes for the Crimson Tide (12-1, 7-1 SEC), who ran for an SEC Championship-record 350 yards in the triumph.

Final Score: (7) Kansas State 42, (23) Texas 24

Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - Collin Klein rushed for a pair of touchdowns and threw for one more as No. 7 Kansas State punched its ticket to the Fiesta Bowl with an emphatic 42-24 drubbing of the 23rd-ranked Texas Longhorns on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Klein, a Heisman Trophy candidate, threw for 184 yards on 8-of-14 passing, while running for 103 yards on 23 carries. John Hubert also had a huge day on the ground for the Wildcats (11-1, 8-1 Big 12), running for three touchdowns and 66 yards on 14 carries. Tyler Lockett hauled in two passes for 73 yards and a touchdown as the Wildcats bounced back nicely from a forgettable 52-24 loss to Baylor on Nov. 17. Kansas State ends its conference schedule in a tie for the top spot with Oklahoma, who topped TCU earlier on Saturday, but the Wildcats will get the BCS bid as a result of a 24-19 win over Oklahoma back in September. The Sooners, however, are still alive to receive an at-large bid to a bowl game. Case McCoy threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns in place of David Ash and Malcolm Brown caught seven passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 40 yards and a touchdown for the Longhorns (8-4, 5-4) who finished the regular season on a two-game losing streak. Jaxon Shipley also caught a touchdown pass in the losing effort for Texas.

Final Score: (12) Oklahoma 24, TCU 17

Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Oklahoma will have to be happy with a share of the Big 12 title. Damien Williams ran for 115 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, while Landry Jones threw for 244 yards with a pair of scores as the 12th-ranked Sooners held on for a 24-17 win over TCU. Oklahoma (10-2, 8-1 Big 12) closed the regular season with its fifth straight win and earned a share of the Big 12 title with Kansas State, which beat Texas later Saturday. The Sooners and Wildcats finished with identical conference records, but Kansas State beat Oklahoma in September and will claim the conference's automatic BCS bowl bid. Oklahoma is still in position to receive an at-large BCS berth. TCU (7-5, 4-5) was coming off a 20-13 win at Texas on Thanksgiving night, but closed its first season in the Big 12 with a losing conference record. The Horned Frogs were 0-4 in conference play at home. Trevone Boykin threw for 231 yards with a touchdown and ran for 36 yards with another score for the Horned Frogs, but had the tying touchdown called back by a holding call in the final minute.

Final Score: (13) Florida State 21, Georgia Tech 15

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - James Wilder Jr. rushed for a pair of scores on Saturday night, and the Seminoles' second-ranked defense came up big in the closing minute, as No. 13 Florida State held off Georgia Tech, 21-15, to win the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship game at Bank of America Stadium. Wilder carried the ball 10 times for 69 yards, while Devonta Freeman added 59 yards and a score on 13 carries to help Florida State (11-2, 7-1 ACC) earn its 13th ACC championship in school history and a berth in the Orange Bowl. EJ Manuel finished 16-of-21 for 134 yards, but threw an interception late in the fourth quarter to give Georgia Tech one final shot at a go-ahead touchdown. Yellow Jackets quarterback Tevin Washington then led his squad near midfield by converting a 4th-and-1 with a 5-yard surge, but Florida State defensive back Karlos Williams intercepted Washington's next pass and returned it 41 yards to the Georgia Tech 4 to seal the victory. Washington finished just 4-of-14 for 76 yards, but added 20 rushing yards and a score on 10 carries for Georgia Tech (6-7, 5-3), which finished with the same record as Miami-Florida in the ACC Coastal, but earned a berth in the title game because of the Hurricanes' self-imposed sanctions.

Final Score: Wisconsin 70, (14) Nebraska 31

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - James White ran for four touchdowns and Montee Ball added three scores on the ground as Wisconsin racked up 539 rushing yards en route to a 70-31 rout of No. 14 Nebraska in the Big Ten Championship game. White finished with 109 rushing yards on 15 carries and also added a 3-yard touchdown pass to Sam Arneson to lead Wisconsin (8-5, 5-4 Big Ten) to its third straight Rose Bowl, where the Badgers will meet Stanford on Jan. 1. Ball ended with 202 yards on 21 totes, while Melvin Gordon tallied 216 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries as Wisconsin snapped a two-game slide. Curt Phillips completed 6-of-8 passes for 71 yards in the win. Taylor Martinez threw for 184 yards with two interceptions on 17-of-33 efficiency for the Cornhuskers (10-3, 7-2), who had won six straight entering the contest.

Markus Wheaton had 12 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown and also had a rushing touchdown in the win. Landry Klann passed for 164 yards with two interceptions on 19-of-32 attempts for the Colonels (1-10), who dropped their final eight games of the season after their only win on Sept. 22 against Evangel. This contest was supposed to be the season opener for both teams on Sept. 1, but it had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Isaac.

Final Score: Baylor 41, (24) Oklahoma State 34

Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Lache Seastrunk carried the ball 16 times for 178 yards and a touchdown, as the Baylor Bears closed out the regular season with a 41-34 victory over the 24th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys.
