The Denver Nuggets exercised the third-year contract options on forward Kenneth Faried and guard/forward Jordan Hamilton on Monday, keeping the two players on the team through the 2013-14 season.

Both players are entering their sophomore campaigns after being drafted four spots apart in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Faried, the 22nd overall pick, averaged 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest last season, earning a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Through the first five preseason games, Faried has posted 11 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Hamilton, who was the 26th selection, averaged 4.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 26 games last season, but has scored 12.3 points per contest through three preseason games this year.
