Howard to sit against Pistons

Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard will not play Sunday against the Detroit Pistons as he recovers from an ailing right shoulder.

Howard returned to the team on Saturday after undergoing platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy in Los Angeles. He aggravated an injured right shoulder during Wednesday's game against Phoenix.

In 43 games this season, Howard is averaging 16.5 points and 11.9 rebounds.
