Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills released veteran linebacker Kirk Morrison on Monday.

Morrison, 30, originally signed with Buffalo as free agent prior to the 2011-12 season and played in 14 games that year, registering seven tackles and one sack.

This season however, Morrison has been relegated to backup duty and has not dressed in a single game.

In 110 career contests, the third-round draft pick in 2005 has posted 727 tackles, six sacks and seven interceptions.
