New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Rangers reportedly signed center Jason Arnott to a one-year contract on Saturday.

The New York Post reported that the team has signed Arnott for $1.6 million and the deal will be made official once he passes a physical.

Arnott spent last season with St. Louis and in his only season with the club he posted 17 goals and 17 assists in 34 games.

The 38-year-old has played in 1,244 career games over 18 years in the NHL, recording 938 points, 417 goals and 1,242 penalty minutes. He ranks seventh among active players in career games and ninth in points while scoring 20 or more goals in 12 seasons.

He has also played in 122 playoff games with 73 points and won a Stanley Cup Championship with the New Jersey Devils in 2000.
